A parent in Powell or Maryville trying to price a private school has to read a scholarship handbook, a spreadsheet of approved schools, a separate registration list and each school's tuition page. This site does that reading for Knox, Blount, Anderson and Sevier counties and keeps the answer in one place: what EFS and the IEA are worth, who gets them, why the ESA is off the table here, and which campuses can accept the money.
Every funding check is read by a tuition counselor, who calls the family back. When a school or organization works with us, the page says so, and that relationship never changes the sources we point a family toward.
How the school list was built
We began with 56 federal records for the four counties: the NCES Private School Survey for 2023-24, plus the 2021-22 file for schools that skipped the newer survey. A script then paired each one, by name, street address and ZIP, with its row in TDOE's 2026-27 Non-Public Schools Directory (the spreadsheet dated October 30, 2026), which supplies the approval category, authorizer, enrollment, website and umbrella flag, and finally marked the 34 schools named on TDOE's EFS registration list of August 24, 2026. Another 21 approved campuses that the federal survey never captured came straight from the TDOE spreadsheet. We left out records that exist only as homeschool umbrellas and the state-run DCS special-purpose sites. River's Edge Christian Academy registers once for four campuses, so the directory shows 37 EFS-flagged campus records. All files were retrieved October 30, 2026.
Program amounts and rules come from TDOE's EFS and IEA pages, FAQs, 2026-27 handbooks and timeline; pre-K from Knox County Schools; child care from TDHS; dual enrollment from TSAC; Catholic tuition from Knoxville Catholic High School and Sacred Heart Cathedral School.
Found a mistake on a school's page? Write to hello@knoxvilleedufunding.com or phone (865) 420-4764; if the error is in the state's own record, the school can also correct it at the source.
Boss Leads runs Knoxville Edu Funding. We do not operate a school and we do not speak for TDOE or any other public agency.
